We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and flexible individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Corsham Primary School (Pound Pill site). You will work closely with class teachers to support children’s learning and development.

The role involves contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom, supporting learning through a range of activities, and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals where appropriate. Strong communication skills, patience, initiative, and a commitment to helping every child achieve their potential are essential.

The successful applicant will support a community where everyone is encouraged to reach their potential, work together toward shared goals, feel valued, enjoy a positive environment, and build relationships founded on kindness and trust.

Corsham Primary School is located in the picturesque Wiltshire market town of Corsham, near Bath, and is arranged over two sites located at either side of the town. Pound Pill site offers 14 classes and the Broadwood site houses 10 classes, both supporting children from Reception to Year 6. At Corsham Primary, we believe that all children matter and have the right to the very best, in order to fulfil their potential. Our happy Corsham Primary family prides itself on having high expectations for learning and behaviour, enabling everyone to enjoy learning and succeed.

Our school values of ‘Caring, Positive and Stimulating’, underpin our ethos, alongside a broad and balanced enquiry-led curriculum which challenges children to be curious. Corsham Primary was one of the original founding schools to create Pickwick Multi Academy Trust in August 2017 and strongly believes in a collaborative approach to learning that encourages the sharing of best practice to enhance the education and outcomes of all the children in our Trust.

For further details regarding the role, please feel free to contact Mrs. Jak Stevens, Office Manager via email. We would love to hear from you.

Please be aware that this role may be closed ahead of the deadline if sufficient applications are received.

As a Diversity & Inclusion employer, we warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups and are dedicated to providing reasonable adjustments for disabled, neurodivergent, or otherwise needing applicants.

At Pickwick Academy Trust, we welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences. We are looking for colleagues who can work in a way that reflects our values of aspiration, collaboration, inclusion, enjoyment, and nurturing relationships. This means setting clear goals, working respectfully with others, treating everyone fairly, creating a positive environment, and building supportive and consistent relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Pickwick Academy Trust is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, governors, trustees and volunteers to share this commitment. Please note that this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. As such, all applicants are required to disclose any criminal convictions, cautions, warnings or reprimands, even if they are considered “spent.” An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken prior to the commencement of any employment.
