We are seeking a Legal Counsel with experience in commercial contracts to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements while providing strategic legal advice to support our business operations and growth objectives. We welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part-time opportunities of 3 - 4 days per week. Salary range - £50,000 - £60,000 pa.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements, software licenses, SaaS agreements, NDAs, DPAs and partnership agreements.
  • Provide practical concise legal advice on commercial and contractual matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and operations teams to develop and implement contract templates and processes to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance.
  • Support the legal team in maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide ad‑hoc assistance with matters relating to IP and litigation with supervision.
  • Stay informed about legal and regulatory developments relevant to the industry and provide proactive recommendations to ensure compliance.
  • Support the legal team in various ad‑hoc legal projects and initiatives as needed.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified legal professional with at least 2 years of experience in handling commercial contracts, preferably within a tech or SaaS company.
  • Commercially focussed problem solver with experience of working with sales and procurement teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear, concise and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive can‑do attitude, self‑motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable advising on employment law across multiple jurisdictions.
