Job summary

Due to ongoing growth, Corrigenda is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work at our static site in Winchester, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems. You’ll carry out routine PPM, fault diagnosis, and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment across a range of buildings that make up The Castle Complex in Winchester. A flexible, customer-focused approach is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of the on-site team.

Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical and HVAC plant and systems.
  • Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on air handling units, pumps, heating systems, air conditioning, and control systems.
  • Accurately maintain digital service records using SMART devices and mobile technology.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required, with a flexible attitude to working outside normal hours.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current legislation, safety procedures, and technical standards.
  • Maintain safe working practices including adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service when interacting with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support others where needed.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Relevant mechanical HVAC qualification (e.g., City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3).
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plant, and associated equipment.
  • Proven experience in HVAC maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
  • Comfortable with PPM scheduling and digital record keeping.
  • Proficient in the use of SMART devices and mobile technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and HVAC controls.
  • Unvented hot water systems certification.
