Air Conditioning Supervisor
FULL TIME – 40 HOURS
Salary: Competitive (Subject to knowledge and experience)
Location: Hampshire & Surrounding Areas
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Air Conditioning Supervisor to lead a team in managing a variety of planned and reactive air conditioning maintenance tasks across our contracts. This role will focus on overseeing operations in commercial properties within the education, private, and public sectors.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Support the daily delivery, implementation, and ongoing development of contracts.
- Stand in for the Technical Manager during their absence.
- Provide technical and practical support to engineers.
- Communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Conduct site visits to estimate time and materials required.
- Provide detailed quotes, including breakdowns and defining exclusions.
- Plan and coordinate labour resources effectively, developing realistic working programmes.
- Monitor labour resourcing to ensure efficient job execution and minimal downtime.
- Ensure all documentation and paperwork are accurately completed and submitted.
- Monitor health and safety compliance on-site, including inspections and checks.
- Produce risk and method statements (RAMS) for safe job completion.
- Maintain a safe working environment for engineers, clients, and the public.
- Offer additional on-site support as needed.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Essential
- Relevant Air Conditioning Qualifications: Including certifications such as F-Gas (2079), City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or equivalent NVQ qualifications, indicating expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT skills.
- Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Competency in operating SMART devices and completing electronic documentation.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools and police stations.
Desirable
- Experience supervising engineers.
- Previous experience in a similar role and sectors.
- Familiarity with CAFM packages.
