A well-established international freight forwarding company is looking for an experienced Export Coordinator to join its operations team near Heathrow. The role is mainly focused on ocean exports, with some involvement in air freight shipments when required. This position would suit somebody with solid export forwarding experience who is confident handling shipments from booking through to final delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate mainly ocean export shipments, including FCL and LCL movements
- Support air export shipments where required
- Arrange bookings with carriers, airlines, and transport providers
- Prepare and process export documentation
- Track and monitor shipments through to final destination
- Liaise with overseas agents, customers, hauliers, and shipping lines
- Provide customers with shipment updates and resolve operational issues
- Ensure billing and operational data is entered accurately
- Support with freight quotations and routing solutions
- Maintain high service levels and operational accuracy
Experience Required
Previous experience within freight forwarding is essential.
