The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Key Account Manager to join a rapidly growing global freight forwarding and logistics organisation at an exciting time of expansion.
Following the recent award of a major new technology contract with one of the world's largest e-commerce businesses, the Heathrow operation has experienced significant growth, with revenue effectively doubling.
This is a hands-on operational leadership position, managing a team of 4 and taking responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a predominantly export-focused operation.
Approximately 95% of the role is export, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Export Manager or senior Export professional looking to step into a broader account leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 4 operational staff.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the account.
- Oversee a predominantly air export operation, ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide hands-on operational support and guidance to the team.
- Develop and maintain high operational standards across the account.
- Monitor performance, identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage escalations and ensure operational problems are resolved quickly.
- Work closely with internal departments, overseas offices, airlines and logistics partners.
- Ensure agreed customer requirements and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and operational performance.
- Provide strong internal leadership as the operation continues to scale.
