We are recruiting for an experienced
Operations Key Account Manager to join a rapidly growing global freight forwarding and logistics organisation at an exciting time of expansion.
Following the recent award of a major new technology contract with one of the world's largest e-commerce businesses , the Heathrow operation has experienced significant growth, with revenue effectively doubling.
This is a hands-on operational leadership position , managing a team of 4 and taking responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a predominantly export-focused operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of
4 operational staff .
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the account.
- Oversee a predominantly air export operation , ensuring shipments are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide hands-on operational support and guidance to the team.
- Develop and maintain high operational standards across the account.
- Monitor performance, identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Manage escalations and ensure operational problems are resolved quickly.
- Work closely with internal departments, overseas offices, airlines and logistics partners.
- Ensure agreed customer requirements and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and operational performance.

About You
We're looking for a strong
Air Export / Operations Manager with proven experience leading teams within freight forwarding.
You should have
- Strong experience within air freight exports .
- Previous experience in an
Operations Manager, Export Manager, Team Leader or similar senior operational role .
- Proven experience managing and developing an operational team.
- A genuinely hands-on leadership style .
- Strong operational knowledge and the ability to get involved in the detail when required.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- The confidence to manage escalations and drive operational standards.
- Experience working with
Hi-Tech / Technology / Electronics accounts would be highly advantageous.

The Role
This is primarily an internal leadership and operational management role , rather than a traditional customer-facing Key Account Manager position.
