The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
AOG Operator to join a specialist air freight team within a leading global logistics and freight forwarding organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in
AOG and time-critical air freight who is used to working at pace and understands the urgency and precision required when handling aerospace accounts.
The role will be approximately
90% export-focused , working within a highly responsive air freight operation supporting urgent and time-sensitive movements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end
AOG air freight shipments , predominantly exports.
- Coordinate urgent and time-critical shipments from booking through to final delivery.
- Liaise with airlines, overseas offices, agents, customers and suppliers.
- Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage all relevant export documentation.
- Ensure shipments are handled in accordance with customer requirements and aviation regulations.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Work closely with the wider
24/7 urgent air freight team to ensure service continuity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key aerospace customers and partners.
- Ensure all shipments meet strict deadlines and service level requirements.
About You
We are specifically looking for someone with significant AOG experience within air freight.
You should have
- Proven experience working in an
AOG / time-critical air freight environment .
- Strong knowledge of air export operations .
- Experience handling aerospace / aviation accounts .
- A strong understanding of the urgency and commercial importance of AOG shipments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience dealing with airlines, agents and international freight networks.
