We are currently recruiting for experienced Account Managers to join a major global freight forwarding and logistics organisation.
This is an opportunity for experienced freight forwarding professionals to take ownership of key customer accounts within a large-scale international logistics network.
The role combines account management, commercial responsibility and end-to-end logistics operations, with responsibility for developing customer relationships, maximising profitability and ensuring a consistently high level of service.
The Role
- Managing and developing key customer accounts
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships
- Leading RFQs, RFIs and tenders
- Identifying commercial opportunities and maximising account profitability
- Negotiating competitive rates with suppliers
- Managing multimodal freight operations across Air, Ocean and Road
- Coordinating import, export, warehousing and specialist cargo movements
- Providing quotations and logistics solutions to customers
- Planning and scheduling transport operations
- Managing urgent deliveries, exceptions and operational issues
- Coordinating customs clearance and ensuring timely delivery
- Managing bookings and carrier relationships
- Overseeing operational job costing and profitability
- Providing customers with accurate track & trace information
- Managing subcontractor performance and service levels

About You
- Proven experience within freight forwarding or international logistics
- Strong knowledge of Air, Ocean and/or Road freight
- Experience managing customer accounts and complex logistics requirements
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of profitability
