The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position for an established Civil Engineering Contractor based in Inverness. The successful candidate would be primarily office based but conducting regular visits to sites would be required.

Duties would include but not be limited to the following:

  • Supporting the operational team by offering sound commercial advice on projects.
  • Assist with commercial training to both commercial and operational teams.
  • Review, interpretation, negotiation, execution and implementation of Contracts and Subcontracts.
  • Commercial analysis, reconciliation and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Managing projects to maximise opportunities and minimise risk.
  • Assist with the development of the Commercial department.
  • Valuation of project works in line with the contract terms and conditions.
  • Reviewing/validating tender cost plans and take offs.
  • Assisting in material procurement and specification compliance.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
  • Analyse subcontractor quotes, place orders and evaluate through project.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum HND in Quantity Surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
  • 5+ years Civil Engineering experience.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
