Overview: Corrie Recruitment are working with a large contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a major earthworks project starting in June, located within commuting distance of Inverness. This is a long-term opportunity on a 2-year contract, with the option of either permanent employment or contract engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations on a large-scale earthworks project
- Supervising teams involved in excavation, blasting and material processing
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
- Weekly progress reporting
- Working with the commercial team to produce month end CRVs and forecasting cost to completions
- Coordinating with senior site management including Project Manager and Works Manager
- Overseeing the construction of a 10km access track and subsequent platform works
- Primarily office based role
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience
- Extensive experience in large-scale earthworks project
- Experience working with peat, rock and blasting operations
- Strong leadership and site management skills
- Valid CSCS Card and relevant site management certification (SMSTS preferred)
