Our client, a well-established UK organisation, is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to help mature their Microsoft Fabric and Power BI reporting environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing the current Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse setup, including data models, semantic models, dataflows/ETL, and overall reporting architecture
- Recommending improvements around performance, scalability, governance, security, and usability
- Integrating data from core line-of-business systems into the reporting platform
- Building reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Developing operational dashboards, KPIs, and data models to support business decision-making
- Running training sessions for end users and producing clear documentation for handover
What you'll need:
- Solid commercial experience delivering Power BI solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or the Azure Data Platform
- Experience designing and optimising Lakehouse architectures
- Experience integrating data from SaaS platforms and APIs
- Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently to deliver against a fixed timeline
Contract details:
- Rate: £450/day, Outside IR35
- Location: Milton Keynes
- Duration: Initial 3-month contract, likely to extend
