Are you a commercially driven Technical Sales Engineer with the ability to translate engineering challenges into winning solutions? This opportunity offers a key role in driving growth within a highly specialised and technically complex sector.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and commercial delivery—working with clients to understand their challenges and shaping practical, high-value solutions that turn opportunities into secured contracts. Whilst the office base will be Birchwood, this is not a desk-based role, as you will be representing the business at client meetings, industry events, and site visits. With a basic salary to £70,000, a car allowance of £4,000 and a bonus to 30% of salary, the successful Technical Sales Engineer can look forward to total on-target earnings of £95,000.
The Opportunity
This position focuses on developing and converting an existing pipeline of opportunities, rather than purely generating new leads. You will engage with established organisations, guiding opportunities through to close while also building longer-term prospects. You'll be supported by experienced technical teams, allowing you to draw on specialist knowledge to ensure proposals are both credible and deliverable.

What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer, or within technical sales / business development
- Background in engineering or a technical discipline
- Proven ability to close deals within structured B2B sales environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence engaging both technical teams and senior decision-makers
- Solid commercial awareness and negotiation capability
- Experience handling complex solution-based sales cycles
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to regulated or safety-critical industries such as nuclear, energy, or heavy engineering
- Familiarity with robotics, remote systems, or hazardous environments
- Experience developing business cases or ROI-led proposals
