Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, CAD, Aerospace, CO7224A

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer with a Design for Manufacturing background, to join the team of a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation in a newly-created role.

The Role

The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, physical build and testing of low fidelity models and manufacturing processes across my client's product portfolio. The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will work to develop CAD/CAM models and drawings for parts and sub-assemblies, as well as designing, building, testing and characterising jigs and fixtures required for the testing of my client's products. The Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer will also create and write MAPs, will review and approve engineering drawings, and will work to identify problems in design and production, providing appropriate recommendations.

What do I need?

  • Experience in production within a highly-regulated industry, with Space/Aerospace preferred
  • A Design for Manufacturing background
  • Experience of using CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
  • A strong understanding of engineering drawing principles and metrology
  • Experience of the physical build and testing of components, jigs, fixtures, etc.
