The Opportunity

We’re recruiting on behalf of Veritasium, one of the world’s leading science YouTube channels, known for captivating content and deep dives into scientific mysteries. With over 2 billion views and a decade of content creation, Veritasium is a powerhouse of education and entertainment. They’re looking for a Physics Writer to join their dynamic, remote-first team. This is a unique chance to use your scientific expertise and creative voice to help craft compelling scripts and stories for a global audience hungry to learn.

Your Role

As a Physics Writer, you’ll work closely with the video production team to:

• Research and develop clear, engaging scripts on a wide range of scientific and physics-related topics
• Help turn complex ideas into digestible, visually compelling narratives
• Contribute to the creative process behind some of the most popular educational videos on YouTube

This isn’t just a job it’s a mission to make science exciting and accessible to everyone.

What’s required of the Physics Content Writer?

• We’re looking for someone who is:Educated: You hold a degree in Physics or Mathematics (a Chemistry background is also welcome!)
• Creative: You have a talent for storytelling and simplifying complex concepts
• Passionate: You’re driven by curiosity and a genuine desire to educate and engage others
• Collaborative: You enjoy working as part of a global, cross-functional team
• Bonus points if you have:Experience writing for video, YouTube, or other digital platforms
• A portfolio or examples of creative/scientific writing
