A well-established London-based specialist in fire, security and communal systems is looking to add an experienced Service & Maintenance Engineer to its growing field engineering team. This is a mobile role covering London and surrounding suburbs, working across domestic and commercial environments.
As a Service & Maintenance Engineer, you will take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance visits, fault finding and minor remedial works across a mix of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and integrated electronic systems. The role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in quality workmanship and is confident dealing directly with end clients.
What the Service & Maintenance Engineer will be doing:
- Delivering compliant maintenance and servicing on fire and security systems
- Attending reactive call-outs and carrying out small repair works
- Completing on-site asset records and service documentation
- Managing your daily schedule and workload efficiently
- Providing clear updates to the service office each day
- Representing the business professionally when working with customers
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Service & Maintenance Engineer within fire and/or security systems
- Solid understanding of relevant British Standards
- Recognised industry qualifications (NSI, LPCB, City & Guilds or similar)
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- CCTV and access control experience essential (Entrotec knowledge advantageous)
- Clean record with the ability to pass DBS/security screening
