This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Industrial Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator to join a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation, fulfilling manufacturing orders for metal mesh-based and other knitted products. The Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator is required to cover the evening shift (from 4pm) for an initial 6-month fixed term contract, with the potential for a permanent contract from 2027.
The RoleThe Industrial Knitting Machinist / Industrial Knitting Machine Operator will be responsible for machine set-up, operations and monitoring across the evening shift, for the production of metal mesh-based and other knitted products. You will perform routine machine adjustments, troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical/operational issues, and will accurately record production data and maintenance activities.

- Previous experience operating industrial knitting equipment in a production environment.
- Demonstrated experience performing machine maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify equipment issues and take corrective action with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Any experience with STOLL and/or Shima machines would be looked upon favourably.
