The Role
The Senior Ecologist will take a leading role across a varied project portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and leading survey programmes, writing and signing off technical reports such as PEAs, EcIAs, and BNG assessments, and managing projects from initial proposal through to delivery.
You will act as the primary technical contact for clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to how new and emerging technologies are integrated into ecological practice.

What experience does the Senior Ecologist need?

Experience working in ecological consultancy at a senior level, with strong field identification skills

Solid understanding of UK wildlife legislation and the planning policy framework that surrounds it

Confidence producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports

A full UK driving licence; CIEEM membership and protected species survey licences would be a distinct advantage
