As a Senior Scientist or Waste Management Consultant with a background in nuclear chemistry and materials science, you will lead and execute research projects for a variety of clients within the UK nuclear sector, focused on improving the efficiency and safety of nuclear processes, especially those relating to nuclear waste and nuclear materials.

This role requires a strong understanding of nuclear processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with engineering and client teams.

What’s required to be successful in this role?

  • A degree in a related field such as Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with extensive commercial experience of nuclear processes and related chemistry
  • Experience of working with companies within the UK nuclear sector
  • Experience of leading and executing research projects, especially those related to nuclear waste and materials, with experience including waste sentencing and waste acceptance, BAT studies, etc.
