This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer, with expertise in structural and/or thermal analysis, to join a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation in a newly-created role.

The Role

The Mechanical Engineer will work with customers to understand requirements, and will design lightweight, robust, low-cost, stowage-efficient mechanisms, to support structures deployment and operations in Space, undertaking all aspects of mechanical engineering surrounding the design, development and production, but with a focus on structural analysis.

What do I need?

  • A good understanding of structural and/or thermal analysis, coupled with FE modelling
  • Experience with software packages for structural analysis, thermal analysis and mathematical modelling, such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, ADAMS, Matlab, etc.
  • Familiarity with at least one of gears, motors and mechanisms
  • Experience within a highly-regulated industry such as Space or Aerospace
