Are you an experienced Ecologist ready to step into a senior or principal-level role? This is a great opportunity to join an established consultancy working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the South East.

The Principal / Senior Ecologist will play a key role in delivering ecological consultancy services across a range of development and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, carrying out field surveys, producing detailed technical reports, and acting as a main point of contact for clients.

Our client is a well-regarded ecological consultancy providing a full suite of services to support development projects, renewable energy schemes and heritage-led work, working with clients across the south. The role is based onsite in Brighton, and offers flexible working.

What's Required?

  • Strong experience as an Ecologist, ideally in a consultancy setting
  • Experience delivering habitat and protected species surveys, and producing clear high-quality ecological reports
  • Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and use of recognised assessment metrics
  • Having a Natural England survey licence, or experience securing protected species mitigation licences is advantageous
  • Experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships is a plus
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
