The Project Manager – HV is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, including offshore wind cable installations and maintenance activities. The role leads project teams, manages budgets, supports operational delivery, and develops strong client and stakeholder relationships to drive commercial performance and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage pre-project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure smooth project initiation.
- Deliver projects in line with business and contractual objectives.
- Oversee project scope and ensure effective commercial management.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, steering groups, clients, and resource providers.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Procurement, Project Resources, Cost Control and Finance to ensure all resources are in place before project live dates.
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders on project progress and change management.
- Develop key client relationships and identify opportunities to promote SPIE Wind Connect services.
- Monitor project KPIs and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Conduct regular reviews of project risks and opportunities with the HVM Manager.
- Provide lessons learned feedback to the HVM Manager, Head of Projects, HSEQ, and the Bids & Tendering Team.
- Champion cost and risk management practices, identifying risks early and working closely with Finance and Cost Control teams.
- Promote a strong HSEQ culture and support project audits as required.
Location: UK – Seaham or Skelton
Experience Required- Minimum 6+ years relevant experience
- Previous experience working under HV Safety Rules
- Strong commercial awareness, including P&L and budget management
- Solid working knowledge of HV technical disciplines to collaborate effectively with internal SMEs and resource teams
