Correla is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Operations team.

About the Role

  • Implement and Maintain Security Technologies: Configure and manage a wide range of cybersecurity tools and platforms, including SIEM, DevSecOps, CASB, and messaging security. Provide technical expertise on endpoint protection and XDR.
  • Proactively Monitor, Assess and Strengthen Defences: Continuously assess systems and infrastructure for security posture improvements, perform risk assessments on the current security tools/posture, provide on-call support for security incidents, aid in penetration testing and attack simulations, and develop technical controls and remediation plans to address identified threats.
  • Lead and Support Incident Response: Collaborate with incident response teams to perform technical investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency and Security Standards: Automate security operations workflows to improve efficiency while ensuring alignment with recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and CES+.
  • Enable Secure Development and Collaboration: Provide security guidance to developers and project teams on secure configurations, threat modelling, and system hardening, while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of the overall security posture.

About You

  • Ability to act as the lead technical investigator during major cybersecurity incidents, coordinating analysis, response, and recovery across multiple teams under pressure.
  • Experience within DevSecOps and a capability to embed security best practices and automation within CI/CD pipelines and development environments to enable secure by design principles at scale is desirable.
  • Proven skills in deploying, managing, and optimising cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, CASB, and cloud-native security solutions in both Azure and AWS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience working within a Cyber Security environment or a similar role and technical certifications such as CISSP/SSCP, Security+, CySA+ or similar are highly desirable.
