Correla are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Operations team.

About the Role

  • Implement and Maintain Security Technologies: configure, and manage a wide range of cybersecurity tools and platforms, including SIEM, DevSecOps, CASB, messaging security. Provide technical expertise on Endpoint protection and XDR.
  • Proactively Monitor, Assess and Strengthen Defences: Continuously assess systems and infrastructure for security posture improvements, perform risk assessment on the current security tools/posture, provide on‑call support for security incidents, aid in penetration testing and attack simulations, develop technical controls and remediation plans to address identified threats.
  • Lead and Support Incident Response: Collaborate with incident response teams to perform technical investigations. Conduct root cause analysis.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency and Security Standards: Automate security operations workflows to improve efficiency while ensuring alignment with recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, CES+.
  • Enable Secure Development and Collaboration: Provide security guidance to developers and project teams on secure configurations, threat modelling, and system hardening; engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of the overall security posture.

About You

  • Ability to act as the lead technical investigator during major cybersecurity incidents, coordinating analysis, response, and recovery across multiple teams under pressure.
  • Experience within DevSecOps and a capability to embed security best practices and automation within CI/CD pipelines and development environments to enable secure‑by‑design principles at scale is desirable.
  • Proven skills in deploying, managing, and optimising cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, CASB and cloud‑native security solutions in both Azure and AWS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven experience working within a Cyber Security environment or a similar role and technical certifications such as CISSP/SSCP, Security+/CySA+ or similar are highly desirable.
