Job Purpose

To provide survey support for whole house retrofit programme.

Able to undertake compliant Retrofit Assessments, technical surveys for heating, renewable, fabric and ventilation install.

Able to undertake basic stock condition surveys.

Provide excellent customer service, positive team environment working with Lead Retrofit Assessors and Surveying Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all types of heating surveys & whole house retrofit assessments including kit lists, design, drawings, client schedule of rates, and internal schedule of rates, detailed property information and capturing resident information.

All in line with company processes and documented procedures.

  • To liaise with Managers, Designers & Coordinators and residents to ensure correct design and understanding of their needs for whole house/deep retrofit with a Mechanical & Electrical bias.
  • Understanding and compliance with different client specifications and scopes of work.
  • Understanding of variation and additional extra items when surveying.
  • Carry out surveying and design for renewable energy and alternative heating systems namely Air Source Heat Pumps.
  • To carry out an options appraisal (Modelling) for certain clients and property types to propose and quote the best solution for the client and their resident.
  • Communicate efficiently at point of knowledge of technical issues or problems that may affect a retrofit installation.
  • Attending training sessions, days or one to ones where necessary.
  • Reporting daily on progress on on-site surveys and submissions of completed surveys.
  • Use of company software system to complete surveys and appointments (full training provided).
  • Assist and support company Retrofit Designers, Retrofit Coordinators and Survey Manager to ensure surveyors are produced to correct scope and in keeping with in quality and productive expectations.
  • Flexibility required for contracted delivery’s peaks workload.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Retrofit Assessor qualified and experience on Elmhurst for a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Experience in retrofit, construction & the built environment.
  • Level 3 Traditional Buildings Qualification.
  • Domestic Ventilation Qualification.
  • Knowledge of Renewable Heating systems, design, costing and materials take off. Experience in customer service and working in occupied homes.
  • Experience of working within the Social Housing Sector on large scale installation contracts, including proven track record in surveying, costing and supervisory roles.
  • Trainee positions may be considered if applicant has transferable skills or experience.

Experience Required

  • Experience in the Social Housing sector, managing large-scale installation contracts, including surveying, costing, and supervisory roles.
  • EPC training preferred but not mandatory (training available).
