The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of lighting products. You will help maintain stock accuracy, pick and pack orders, and assist with inventory control, contributing to a smooth and safe warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and store incoming lighting products and materials
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer and project requirements
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts (if certified), and scanners
  • Assist with product labelling and quality checks
  • Assist the production team when warehouse duties are completed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment as required (reasonable adjustments available)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Salary & Terms:

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 – 16:00
  • Temp to Perm
