Therefore, we are proud to offer the following position within our warehouse team.

Warehouse Night Shift Operator

Ideally to have experience in the air cargo industry and a background in warehousing, transport and customer service.

  • The main duties of the Night Shift Warehouse role, will include;
  • Manual Handling of all types of cargo, mainly perishables; Chilled, Frozen and Ambient Temperatures.
  • Use of our range of Counter-Balance Fork Lift Trucks from 1.5t - 8t.
  • Picking/Packing, Splitting and Sorting shipments according to instructions in a timely manner.
  • Loading and un-loading of our range of vehicles from Vans, up to Artics’. Plus, other visiting drivers.
  • Sorting, stacking and building our aircraft pallet stocks, as well as logging them in/out using our computer system and generating paperwork for the same.
  • Keeping accurate logs (both on paper, and also electronically) of the stock in the Warehouse, including all movements in/out.
  • Working with the office team to effectively carry out the duties for each shift, as outlined by the supervisor and Warehouse management throughout the day.
  • Best Housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all staff.
  • To be considered for the role of Warehouse Night Shift Operative, you must have;
  • At least 3 years warehousing experience
  • Previous working experience in the Air Freight sector
  • A FLT driving licence for B1 classification (Ideally B2 as well, but not essential)
  • Hours & Benefits
  • The shift pattern is a 4-on, 4-off, starting at 19:00hrs and finishing at 07:00hrs the following day.

There is ample opportunity for overtime, especially during our peak periods of February, March and December.

In addition, you will be able to cover holiday days for your opposite number.

  • You will be entitled to 20 days paid holiday per year. A PPE allowance and company uniform is provided.
  • Starting salary; £30,000 raising to £32,500 once the probation period is passed
  • Company pension
