Corr Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join one of our refuse collection teams based in the New Forest area. This role involves working as part of a crew to carry out curb side waste and recycling collections from residential properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work in a vital public service role.
Location: New Forest
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday
Time: between 6/8am start (8 hour shift) (timings will be updated soon)
Duties:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle to collect waste, recycling, and garden refuse
- Safely reverse with guidance from a trained crew member
- Support loaders when needed to maintain efficient collections
- Follow designated routes across rural and urban areas
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Complete route paperwork and system logs accurately
- Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and route changes
- Comply with all driving laws and working time regulations
Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Physically fit; some manual handling involved
- Good team player with a professional attitude
- Refuse collection experience (preferred, not essential)
