We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Driver (Afternoons) to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, primarily during afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations within designated routes during afternoon hours.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly for transit.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any delays.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery logs and vehicle checklists.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as heavy lifting when required, maintaining organisation of stock.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate a van or similar commercial vehicle safely and responsibly.
  • Experience in warehouse environments or logistics operations is advantageous.
