We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Distribution Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing supply chain activities, ensuring efficient logistics operations, and supporting overall management functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills, leadership qualities, and a solid understanding of management and logistics processes. The Planner will play a key role in maintaining seamless operations across various departments, contributing to the organisation's success.

Duties:

  • Answering inbound calls and providing assistance to customers and drivers
  • Supporting drivers on the road with real-time guidance
  • Liaising with customer service colleagues to ensure smooth operations
  • Responding to emails and managing communication effectively
  • Arranging same-day specials and handling urgent requests
  • Planning and optimising distribution routes for the following day

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in a planning or coordination role is an advantage
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the South West region (essential)
  • Experience planning multi-drop routes or driver schedules
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment

  • Consistent working hours with a Monday to Friday schedule (10:30 to 19:30)
