We are recruiting reliable Class 1 HGV Day Drivers for ongoing work.
Drivers will deliver concrete building products from a manufacturing facility to builders' merchants, major construction sites, and occasionally residential properties using modern Volvo, DAF, and Scania articulated and drawbar vehicles.
What we're looking for
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- ALLMI Brick & Block qualification preferred
- Standard Class 1 drivers also considered, with the opportunity to gain ALLMI qualification at company expense for committed long-term candidates
- Professional, safety-conscious attitude and good customer service skills
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Start times typically between 05:00-06:00
- Average shift length: 10-12 hours
- No weekends, bank holidays, or planned nights out
Pay & Benefits
- £18.18 per hour for the first 48 hours
- Overtime paid at 1.3x rate
- Pay rates due to increase by 3.5% (to be backdated)
- Ongoing temporary positions with potential opportunities for permanent employment for successful drivers
