Class 2 Day Driver - Immediate Start
We are recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join a busy brewery distribution operation based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for ongoing work with a genuine temp to perm pathway for the right candidates.
Working as part of a two-person crew, you will deliver beer, kegs, casks and other brewery products to pubs, bars, restaurants and licensed premises across the region. This is a physically demanding, customer-facing role involving multi-drop deliveries and manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks before leaving the depot
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries to customers safely and efficiently
- Work alongside a Driver's Mate to unload kegs, casks and packaged products
- Collect empty kegs, returns and reusable containers where required
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Deliver excellent customer service at every stop
- Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Tachograph regulations
- Report vehicle defects, delivery issues or incidents promptly
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 multi-drop experience is preferred but not essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
- Strong communication and customer service skills
