We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Machine Setter to provide operational support to our manufacturing team. You will play a key role in ensuring our injection moulding processes run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Location: Biggleswade
Schedule: Full time temp to perm
Hours: 7AM - 3PM OR 3PM - 11PM
Pay: £13ph
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise and deliver injection moulding parameters in line with business expectations.
- Conduct tool changes according to the moulding plan within the allotted time.
- Support new tool trials as required.
- Optimise robot and ancillary equipment to maximise output and reduce costs.
- Maintain 5S standards (housekeeping) and adhere to health & safety requirements during tool changes.
- Work actively to reduce scrap, tool change times, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Perform fault analysis with support from the maintenance department when required.
- Carry out machine restarts and calibrations ensuring proper training and sign-off procedures are followed.
- Conduct Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks.
- Ensure correct machine and robot programs are loaded and products are run in a stable condition.
- Produce first-off samples for Quality Department approval.
- Confirm all guard checks are completed and report any issues to Maintenance.
- Check mould tools and equipment at the end of runs and escalate any non-conformities to the Operations Manager.
