CNC Press Brake Operator - immediate start. Corr Recruitment are seeking a dependable, innovative candidate who works confidently and independently using both conventional machines for one of our well-established clients in Biggleswade. You should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills, and a keen interest in production and processing. To be successful as a CNC operator you should be creative, perceptive, meticulous, and an active learner.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce good quality components to the required hourly rate
  • Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Ability to work with stainless steel 90% of the time
  • Run, bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
  • Use a CNC controller to input information into machine
  • Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions
  • Check height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, callipers, and gauges
  • Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel)

Hours & Pay:

This is a Temp to Perm role. Monday to Thursday 7.00 a.m. till 4.00 p.m. Friday 7.00 a.m. till 1.00 p.m. 40-hour week. Plus, overtime after the 3-month probation period. Pay negotiable - £16 - £18.50 p.h.
