We are seeking a skilled Bendi Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Duties

  • Operate bendi forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
  • Manage inventory using warehouse management systems accurately
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments and preparing goods for dispatch
  • Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure operational safety
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage to prevent damage or accidents
  • Support overall warehouse organisation by maintaining cleanliness and orderliness
  • Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues promptly
  • Conduct basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations

Experience

  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance procedures beneficial
  • Experience in materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently on a regular basis
  • Previous warehouse experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail
