Corpus Christi College has vacancies for 1 Part-Time Bedmaker and numerous Casual Bedmakers. Main duties involve daily cleaning of rooms, offices, toilets, and staircases.
Applicants must have experience in a hotel, college or similar environment and will be able to demonstrate excellent cleaning skills including knowledge of chemical handling. A vocational qualification is also desirable. There will be some weekend working required.
You will be reporting to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager and will be part of a team of 24 staff, 7 of whom work at Leckhampton House the post-graduate site and the remaining at Old House for the undergraduates. You will be working both on your own and within your team to provide a first-class cleaning service for the College.
Applicants must have the ability to work on their own in a student & learning environment, be conscientious, hardworking, and reliable. There will be a certain amount of climbing of staircases and carrying bulky items as well as busy conference periods. Flexibility is key to being successful in this role.
