Undergraduate Admissions Manager

Corpus Christi College Cambridge wishes to appoint a full-time Undergraduate Admissions Manager.

The Undergraduate Admissions Manager will play a central role in the College's undergraduate admissions process, leading the day-to-day operation of the Admissions Office and ensuring the efficient and effective administration of all aspects of admissions. Working closely with the Admissions Tutor, Fellows, Directors of Studies, other relevant College staff, and applicants, the postholder will help deliver a fair, rigorous and welcoming admissions process that reflects the College's commitment to academic excellence.

The successful applicant will lead on the organisation and coordination of the core functions of the Admissions Office and will line manage the Admissions Administrator. They will be responsible for managing a varied and demanding workload, overseeing admissions systems and processes, and ensuring the accurate handling of confidential information throughout the admissions cycle.

We are looking for applicants with substantial experience of educational administration, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. The successful applicant will be able to work independently, exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities and build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. They will be confident using their knowledge and initiative to ensure the smooth operation of the Admissions Office throughout the year.

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends during busy periods of the admissions cycle.

Admissions & Engagement Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in how the College engages with prospective applicants. Working as part of the Admissions Team, the postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering the College's digital media strategy, helping improve how we engage with prospective students across different platforms and events.

The Admissions & Engagement Coordinator will lead on the College's admissions-focused digital presence, including social media, website content and online events. They will develop creative and engaging content for prospective applicants, maintain and enhance key admissions webpages, manage communications with schools and teachers, and coordinate the College's contribution to Open Days and other admissions events.

We are looking for a highly organised and creative individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of digital engagement. The successful applicant will have experience of social media content creation, digital communications and website management, and will have the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. They will be confident using their initiative to develop new approaches to applicant engagement and will be committed to communicating the opportunities available at Corpus to a diverse range of prospective students.

The postholder will work closely with the Admissions Tutor and Outreach Programmes Coordinator to ensure that the College's admissions communications are engaging, accurate and effective.

IT & AV Engineer

The IT & AV Engineer is a key role in delivering information services and technology support to students, staff, fellows, and guests. Strong IT skills, the ability to communicate well and offer customer‑focused helpdesk support to users at all levels are essential. An ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, is particularly important.

The role requires a strong technical breadth and depth of knowledge together with many experiences to take a key role in implementing and maintaining IT key infrastructure and systems across the College.

Boathouse Manager / Boatperson

We are looking for an experienced and friendly Boatperson/Boathouse Manager to work closely with the Boat Club Captains on matters relating to the day-to-day operation of the Boathouse, shared between Corpus Christi, Girton, Newnham, Sidney Sussex and Wolfson. The post involves maintaining rowing equipment and facilities, and fostering a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all club members.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive knowledge of managing a boathouse, or a comparable equipment‑based boating environment
  • Broad working knowledge of the boating industry, including boats, equipment, suppliers and retailers
  • Experience in the use of machinery for the repair and maintenance of boats and associated equipment
  • Ability to work without supervision and adhere to Health and Safety regulations

Senior Plumber/Gas Engineer

The Estates and Facilities Department are looking for a Senior Plumber who is GAS‑SAFE registered to join their growing team.

The College has a diverse estate – from our Old Court dating from the 14th century through to modern purpose‑built residences. The Estates and Facilities team is responsible for a wide range of preventative and reactive maintenance, as well as small scale projects to improve our facilities. It is a particularly exciting time to join the College as we have a number of refurbishment projects underway – the Estates and Facilities Department will have a pivotal role in bringing these projects to life and embedding them into our beautiful and historic buildings.

The Senior Plumber will contribute heavily to the maintenance of the mechanical and plumbing infrastructure of the College and should be content to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Development Executive Assistant

The role will suit a motivated individual and will provide executive assistant support to the Director of Development in the planning and delivery of the College’s philanthropic and alumni engagement activity. Operational seniority and experience are required to assure the operational efficiency of the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the day‑to‑day administration of the work of the Development Director.
  • Organising Fundraising meetings, sending meeting requests and dealing with the associated correspondence.
  • Ensuring that the RE NXT database is maintained efficiently.
  • Liaising with College staff, committees and the Fellowship including minute taking for committees where the Development Director is Chair.
  • Managing the arrangements for all major donor meetings.

Bedmaker/Cleaner

Corpus Christi College has vacancies for Full/Part‑Time Bedmaker and numerous Casual Bedmakers. Main duties involve daily cleaning of rooms, offices, toilets, and staircases. Applicants must have experience in a hotel, college or similar environment and will be able to demonstrate excellent cleaning skills including knowledge of chemical handling. A vocational qualification is also desirable. There will be some weekend working required.

You will be reporting to the Deputy Housekeeping Manager and will be part of a team of 24 staff, 7 of whom work at Leckhampton House the post‑graduate site and the remaining at Old House for the under graduates. You will be working both on your own and within your team to provide a first‑class cleaning service for the College.

Applicants must have the ability to work on their own in student & learning environment, be conscientious, hardworking, and reliable. There will be a certain amount of climbing of staircases and carrying bulky items as well as busy conference periods. Flexibility is key to being successful in this role.
