As a Security Officer, you will be the face of security on Level 5, offering a warm and professional presence to all visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining order, managing crowd control, and preventing anti‑social behaviour. Your ability to handle situations with confidence and professionalism will contribute significantly to the positive experience of both patrons and staff. You will be working an average of 16 hours per week on Fridays and Saturdays from 13:00 to 23:00. There are opportunities outside of those hours for overtime.

What you will need:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence – essential
- Previous bar/club experience
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel)
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards
What you are going to do:
- Provide hostmanship‑style customer service, greeting and assisting patrons throughout their visit
- Monitor and manage crowd numbers, ensuring compliance with occupancy regulations
- Identify and address disruptive or inappropriate behaviour swiftly and effectively
- Implement and follow conflict‑management strategies, including SIA‑approved physical interventions if necessary
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff at all times
- Work collaboratively with venue management and front‑of‑house teams, staying informed on entry policies and incident protocols
- Assist with safe exit strategies for intoxicated patrons, prioritising their well‑being and the safety of others
