We are looking for an accustomed GSOC Operator to be responsible for the continuous monitoring, coordination, and response to security, safety, and operational events across Centrica’s global assets. The role ensures effective incident management, situational awareness, and support to Centrica employees, sites, and Executive stakeholders through integrated security systems and intelligence feeds. You will be working an average of 42 hours per week on a 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights rotation. Shifts will be 07:00-19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00.

What you will need:

  • Experience working in GSOC or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of CCTV, access control & alarm systems (e.g. IDS)
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Must hold a valid SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

  • Monitor CCTV systems across corporate offices, energy assets, and executive residences
  • Conduct real-time alarm monitoring, including setting/unsetting alarms and responding to alerts
  • Manage and respond to intrusion detection system (IDS) signals, including Galaxy closed signals
  • Facilitate out-of-hours emergency site access
  • Produce and manage access ID cards, including replacements and temporary passes
  • Conduct restricted access audits and ensure compliance with access control policies
  • Act as the first point of contact for all GSOC-related communications
  • Handle telephone calls, including emergency and routine enquiries
  • Manage shared email inboxes and ensure timely responses and escalation
  • Monitor global travel risk and provide support to travelling employees
  • Manage traveller tracking systems, including manual travel entries
  • Handle “Traveller in Need” calls and provide escalation support
  • Monitor world news feeds and emerging global security threats
  • Track maritime security events, including Centrica LNG vessel activity
  • Report and track security system faults and fabrication faults
  • Conduct remote CCTV audits across sites and executive residences
  • In the absence of GOC Manager, GOC Operators may be required to take senior decision-making responsibilities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations
