We are currently searching for a Security Specialist, to be based in our clients’ offices in Bedfont Lakes, with occasional travel to the client office in Reading. Reporting to the Security Coordinator you will work closely with various department stakeholders and other members of the security teams to help ensure the safety and security of the client’s assets, people, and property. You will be working an average of 45 hours per week covering Monday - Friday days. Shift times will be: 0800-1700.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - desirable
  • A valid Full UK Driving License - desirable
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure
  • Competent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for professional development, including pursuing Level 6 CSMP and Level 3 Award in Education & Training
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What Are You Going To Do

  • Supervising the Security team, including conducting one-to-one meetings, managing performance, and ensuring high standards of work quality
  • Addressing client requests and inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Overseeing and coordinating the site roster
  • Serving as the primary point of escalation for security-related issues across multiple sites
  • Identifying, reporting, and addressing Health & Safety concerns, including administering first aid when necessary
  • Maintaining comprehensive records, including incident reports, utilizing both digital and paper-based systems
  • Supervising security teams across two locations
  • Supporting professional development by preparing quotes, defining scopes of work, and reviewing assignment instructions for AI; collaborating with other departments to ensure security compliance across client sites
  • Providing coverage and support in the absence of security coordinators
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required
