Role Overview
The Security Operations Manager (SOM) will work closely with the client to ensure that the RBO is a safe and secure venue for staff and visitors alike. The SOM is responsible for managing the security team from an operational perspective, ensuring a high level of service delivery and contractual compliance. You will work an average of 50 hours onsite Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 18:00. Weekends may be required depending on local activity.

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
- A valid SIA CCTV Licence – desirable.
- Previous security management experience.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel).
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the staffing of the security team, ensuring all staff are thoroughly trained, briefed, inducted and capable of delivering an excellent security service coupled with strong customer service.
- Build a strong team culture across the security team ensuring they act as one in delivering the security service at the RBO.
- Ensure weekly reports are delivered promptly and presented well.
- Coordinate routine checks on licensing, uniform and site emergency procedure knowledge.
- Ensure incident reports are completed to a good standard and circulated promptly following any notable incidents that occur on site.
- Assist the client in planning security for events, meeting external stakeholders, liaising with internal teams and attend the night if required (VIP/Royal visits).
- Report any damage or faults to engineering equipment and/or building fabric.
- Effectively manage scheduling & planning to ensure full compliance with the manning schedule for the RBO.
- Have an awareness of HR procedures and be responsible for driving and maintaining discipline on site, escalating any issues to the client.
