About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled SIA‐Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors on site. Responsibilities include applying thorough access‐control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned and ad‐hoc patrols, and following prescribed escalation protocols during emergencies. You will work an average of 50 hours per week covering nights: Thursday 1800‐0700, Friday & Saturday 1800‐0600, Sunday 1800‐0800.

Responsibilities

Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular patrols and recording them as required by Corps and customer standards.

Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in and out, and that deliveries are recorded and processed in line with quality procedures.

Set and unset alarm systems for out‐of‐hours security provision where applicable.

Comply with waste‐management procedures.

Complete required documentation, including daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records, and site‐specific reports.

Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and quality & safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager or client personnel on any changes or recommendations.

Maintain training records, ensuring first‐aid and fire‐marshal qualifications remain current.

Continuously apply SIA skills and maintain a high level of professionalism, displaying the SIA licence at all times.

Perform ad‐hoc duties as directed.

Requirements & Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.

A valid SIA Front‐Line Licence – essential.

A valid SIA CCTV Licence – desirable.

Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels.

Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).

Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
