The Account Manager holds strategic responsibility for driving service improvement and innovation across assigned accounts. This includes identifying, evaluating, and implementing security technologies and operational enhancements that improve effectiveness, efficiency, and risk mitigation. The role uses data, performance insight, and client engagement to shape security strategies aligned to contractual and organisational objectives, ensuring services remain compliant, future‑focused, and commercially sustainable. You will work 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri, 0700-1600, Flexibility required.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line License - essential
  • A Full UK Driving License - desirable
  • Previous Security Account Management experience.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What Are You Going To Do

  • Responsible for all customer and operational colleagues, with a comprehensive understanding of all functions including manned guarding, CCTV and access control, key holding, post room, reception, and business support.
  • Regularly engage with clients to address their concerns, provide tailored solutions, and maintain open lines of communication, thereby strengthening trust and satisfaction. This client centric approach is integral to delivering high‑quality service and sustaining long‑term partnerships.
  • Manage staffing levels for contracted, ad‑hoc, and special events including recruitment in line with BS7858, screening, and while ensuring sufficient and suitable relief staff are available.
  • Maintain Assignment Instructions/Risk Assessments and ensure they remain accurate and up to date.
  • Undertake ad‑hoc projects as directed by the Client or Corps Security Management Team.
  • Identify practical areas for personal development of the team, which can be implemented in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
  • To lead, manage and motivate direct reports including: goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning, and monitor attendance / timekeeping.
  • Prompt and accurate submission of all necessary reports and performance measurement documentation to the appropriate departments.
  • Effective rostering of site personnel.
  • Attainment of Company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and assist with investigation of apparent non‑conformance.
