We are seeking a SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer to work at multiple client sites in Newcastle upon Tyne, covering holiday and sickness absences with the possibility of fixed shift patterns.

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
- Full UK manual driving licence – essential.
- Confidence in establishing and maintaining good relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel).
- Ability to achieve BS7858 vetting standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain overall surveillance and carry out regular patrols, recording activity as required by Corps and client standards.
- Brief and record all visitors and contractors, ensuring proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures.
- Record delivery entries and exits, processing paperwork in line with quality procedures.
- Ensure patrols are executed to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out‑of‑hours coverage where applicable.
- Comply with site waste management procedures.
- Complete required documents, including daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
- Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager or client personnel on changes or recommendations.
- Maintain training records via the Corps Colleague Portal to keep skills up to date, notably first aid and fire marshal training.
- Continuously apply SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and always displaying your licence.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
