We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Area Relief Security Officer in Glasgow to be trained and required to work at several of our clientâs premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to be allocated a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise. You will work flexible hours and cover days, nights and weekends.

What you will need
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- A valid SIA FrontâLine License â essential.
- A full UK Manual Driving License â desirable.
- Confidence and the ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel).
- Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
What are you going to do
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and customer requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors to the site are correctly briefed, sign in and out.
- Record the entry and exit of deliveries while on site, including processing paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for outâofâhours provision if applicable.
- Comply with site waste management procedures.
- Complete documents such as daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any siteâspecific reports.
- Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal so your skills remain upâtoâdate, particularly first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must always be displayed.
- Perform adâhoc duties as directed.
