Role Overview

As an Access Control Officer you will ensure consistent service delivery at the site's Access Control hub.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and clients, granting access as per booking and handling escalation processes when required.

Working Hours

Various hours covering days and nights: 06:30‑18:30 / 18:30‑06:30 and 08:30‑20:30 / 20:30‑08:30.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide access to site visitors, clients and contractors using C-Cure 9000 and VM Easy.
  • Maintain full compliance with operational instructions (alarm responses, building access, production).
  • Report and elevate issues to Corps Security and on‑site management.
  • Produce clear, logical operational reports within required timeframes.
  • Stay up to date with site systems, procedures and changes in building occupiers.
  • Support security and site management teams in identifying and implementing service improvements.
  • Ensure safety and security via integrated security systems.
  • Liaise with external authorities including police.
  • Respond to medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations and other emergencies.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role and organisation.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
  • Knowledge of access control software, preferably C‑Cure 9000.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
