The Security & Technology Specialist will play a key role in supporting stronger client relationships, identifying opportunities for service innovation, and evaluating emerging security technologies. The role will support the Innovation & Technology, Sales & Operational team in researching emerging technologies, supporting solution design, analysing performance data, and contributing to innovation projects across guarding, monitoring, mobile response and digital security solutions. You will be working Mon‑Fr (40hrs p/w) with hybrid flexibility. You will be required to be on site minimum 3 days with occasional out‑of‑hours/weekends. What you will need:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Strong interest in technology and innovation, digital transformation or security systems with the ability to assess and apply emerging solutions
- Experience in process improvement using Six Sigma or similar frameworks
- Analytical mindset with good problem‑solving ability
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt (or working towards) – essential
- Google Data Analytics Certificate – desirable
- Microsoft Power BI Fundamentals – desirable
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft software packages (e.g. Excel)
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards
What are you going to do:
- Assist in researching new technologies (AI, analytics, automation, IoT, biometrics, drones, wearables) and summarising findings for senior colleagues
- Support pilot projects and the testing of innovative solutions alongside the technical services and intel teams
- Help review technology performance and gather feedback from operational teams
- Support in producing solution documentation, diagrams, and proposal inputs for client‑facing teams
- Help develop blended service models combining frontline officers, monitoring services and technology tools
- Contribute to benchmarking exercises, comparing Corps’ offerings with wider industry innovations
- Assist with mapping operational processes (e.g., rostering, incident reporting, mobile workflows)
- Support small‑scale continuous improvement activities using Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Help identify areas where automation or digital tools could improve efficiency
- Gather performance data from monitoring platforms, field teams, IoT sensors, or analytics tools
- Produce clear reports, dashboards, and summaries highlighting trends and areas for improvement
- Support ROI calculations and basic business case modelling
- Assist in preparing presentations for innovation workshops, client meetings and internal showcases
- Join client site visits to observe systems, technologies and operational processes
- Support senior team members in maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the business
- Participate in ongoing training on security systems, monitoring centre practices, analytics tools and project methodologies
- Stay current on UK private security trends, emerging technology, and industry standards
