We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site-based Security Manager.
Someone who has the ability to manage a security team and provide an efficient, flexible, and motivated team is pivotal to the success of this role.
You will need to have excellent planning, organisational and commercial skills together with experience to recognise opportunities.

What you will need
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
- Previous Security Management experience
- Confidence and Proactiveness
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure
- Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e. g. Excel)
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
What are you going to do
- Act as trusted partner to clients, building strong, professional relationships focused on service quality, assurance & value
- Deliver consistently high standards of customer service, ensuring contracts are stable, compliant & retained
- Lead structured client engagement through planned monthly meetings, contract reviews and performance discussions
- Ensure KPIs are clearly defined, tracked, scored & transparently shared with clients
- Proactively identify service improvements, innovation and efficiencies that enhance the client experience
- Maintain full accountability for operational delivery across all service lines
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date operational documentation e. g. Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, surveys, audits & penetration testing
- Ensure all documentation is compliant and accessible
- Drive a culture of proactive risk identification, mitigation & escalation
- Ensure welfare, site visits, audits & compliance checks are completed
- Participate in the Out of Hours / Duty Executive rota
- Lead, manage and motivate operational teams
- Ensure manning levels meet contractual and operational requirements
- Oversee recruitment, screening and vetting in partnership with Duty Managers, Compliance and Central Scheduling
- Maintain control of sickness, absence, overtime and annual leave
- Manage employee relations cases end‑to‑end - supported by HR
- Develop direct reports through coaching, performance reviews and structured development planning
- Maintain a tight operational and commercial grip on performance
- Take ownership of contract profitability
- Understand commercial pressures and client drivers, balancing service excellence with cost discipline
- Actively identify growth opportunities within existing and prospective client portfolios
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Security policies
- Maintain high standards of governance, record keeping and audit readiness at all times
- Act as an ambassador for the business, demonstrating professionalism, integrity and leadership
- Proactively manage own development, maintaining awareness of industry trends, risks and innovations
- Attend training, briefings and networking opportunities to remain current and commercially informed
