Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Weekend Security Officer in Falkirk to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad‑hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services.

You will work – 32hrs, Fri, 2200‑0600 Sat, 1800‑0600 and Sun, 1800‑0600, or Sat & Sun days, 0600 – 1800.

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel).
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.

What you are going to do:

  • Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as required by Corps and Customer.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors to the site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
  • Record the entry and exit of deliveries on site, including processing paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
  • Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
  • Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision if applicable.
  • Comply with site waste management procedures.
  • Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and other site‑specific reports.
  • Maintain familiarity with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or recommendations to improve.
  • Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal so that your skills remain up to date, particularly first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
  • Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism, and keep your SIA licence displayed at all times.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
