Role Overview
We are looking for an SIA‑licensed Duty Manager to support Site Officers, colleagues and customers in the provision of security and business support services within the region, always adopting the principles contained within both the Colleague and Customer charters.
Work schedule: average 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rota. Shifts are day‑only, rotating between 05:30–17:30 and 10:30–22:30.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all operational colleagues and maintain comprehensive knowledge of covering functions including manned guarding, electronic solutions (CCTV and access control), key holding, post room, reception and general business support.
- Meet and liaise with customers and key clients regularly to review and record contract performance, ensuring quality standards are maintained and contracts retained.
- Coordinate manning levels for contracted, ad‑hoc and special events, including recruitment, screening and vetting with administrators and central support to secure adequate relief staff.
- Conduct direct visits to guarantee the safety and well‑being of both customer staff and Corps colleagues.
- Maintain mandatory documents for key holding (assignment instructions, key receipts, risk assessments, contact details).
- Supervise weekend day patrols, alarm response and unlocks/locks.
Required Qualifications & Mandatory Mandates
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus.
- Must hold a valid SIA Front‑Line and CCTV licence.
- Previous experience in a similar or supervisory role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the security guarding sector.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (notably Excel).
- Must be able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
